When Ian listened to his classmates at Vista Ridge High School in Colorado Springs talk about how they made some great senior portraits and how well they posed, he decided to take his vision in a different direction. This is awesome and just the way I like to work. When our subjects have their own ideas their individual personalities shine through with no coaxing.
Ian typed “worst senior portraits” into Google and came up with an idea. See the last photo, as I would never try to do anything this cheesy. Between him flexing muscles, posing in pee-wee soccer fashion, and his host of goofy antics, he could immediately switch it off and come up with a look his grandparents and dad wouldn’t mind showing their friends and family.
Good luck in your final year of high school, Ian. I had fun on this shoot.
