I love weddings that have no surprises. Weddings that have cool people. Weddings that have unique flavor.
No, I’m not talking about the elk meat at dinner (which was quite tasty, in case you’re wondering). Instead I’m talking about the few Persian music CD’s given to the DJ, a custom wedding dress, and the casual elegance of the entire day.
This couple, who are head-over-heals for one another, were married at the Tapestry House in LaPorte, Colorado, just north of Ft. Collins. The home is grand and new, yet made to look old. The grounds are gorgeous and gave us plenty of places to photograph.
When I saw Debbie’s wedding dress I was amazed. It was like none other I’ve seen, simple yet elegant, detailed yet subtle. She had it made custom via etsy.com, unique in it’s own right. I would’ve thought of doing that, but then again I’m not a bride.
With Josh Lawton in Arapahoe Basin for another wedding, we enlisted the help of our good friend, Christopher Lawson to help with the ceremony and portrait sessions.
The entire staff at the Tapestry House is very professional, helpful and keep things on time. If you’re looking for a Northern Colorado venue I would highly suggest giving this place a hard look.
Congratulations to Derrick and Debbie! Thank you for allowing us to be part of your day!
